Hello and welcome to my portfolio! Inside you will find a small sampling of some of my favorite work!
Here is a quick run-down of my career as an artist…I am a long-time resident of the beautiful city of South Haven, Michigan located directly on Lake Michigan! After graduating from South Haven High School in 2004 with four years of high school art instruction, I directly began studying fine arts and graphic design at Lake Michigan College. My passion for the arts led me to continue at Harrington College of Design in Chicago, Illinois with a focus on communication design. I currently hold the position as in-house graphic designer for the South Haven/Van Buren County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Publications include: Four consecutive illustrations in the Dine Sarasota series, two consecutive years as designer of the South Haven Destination Guide & Travel Companion, ad work in Pure Michigan Magazine, Michigan Travel Magazine, Shoreline Magazine South, Shoreline Magazine Southwest, South Haven Community Guide, Herald-Palladium, South Haven Tribune, four Consecutive Double Billboards on Interstate 96, two single billboards on Interstate 94 along with many other collateral materials for local non-profits and businesses alike.
I am truly fortunate to work so closely with leaders in my community sharing the beauty of our town and surrounding area. It is not only my career, but my hobby and my passion.
CITY OF SOUTH HAVEN
I certainly enjoy collaborating with this client, as it was a professionally challenging yet rewarding experience. It was truly an honor to have my sesquicentennial logo approved by a large committee of leaders in the community. In addition to my sesquicentennial work, I have provided large historical panels for display inside city hall along with official parking stickers for residents. We continue to work together on a wide range of South Haven projects.
SOUTH HAVEN / VAN BUREN COUNTY CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU
I’ve provided the South Haven / Van Buren County Convention and Visitors Bureau with a wide range of design services. They have provided a strong bridge between myself and our diverse community. Our combined talents have proven to promote events, lodging and tourism for our unique lakefront community.
Dine Sarasota was publishing for quite some time when I was approached about adding illustrations to an already successful project. Their dining guide was one of my first publications and remains near to my heart. I am thrilled to be working with them for my forth consecutive year - from more than 1,000 miles away!
Clementine's has been a strong supporter of my wide range of services for over a decade. In 2017 I took over the advertising and marketing sector of this consistently booming restaurant. Together we continue to market a one hundred and four year old nostalgic landmark that has been voted one of Southwest Michigan's best restaurants for many years.
Foundry Hall's open minded volunteers are a joy to work with. This local nonprofit hosts a wide range of concerts and music opportunities for adults and children. They continue to teach me the value of flexibility and improvisation - sometimes literally sitting behind me on my computer while we build our visions together!
WARD ONE COMMUNITY ACTION COMMITTEE
I consider working with committees one of my specialties. The Ward One Community Action Committee trusted me with visually capturing the essence of their community with one simple logo. I believe my ability to relate to a diverse demographic gives a perspective that is both beneficial for myself and any client.
In addition to working with large businesses I thoroughly enjoy working with the little guy....or girl. The Ms. Naturale hair salon began with zero visual graphics. We started with a favorite painting and turned it into a logo. Together we are building a brand that will take this new business owner to the next professional level.
I AM ENOUGH AS I AM
A lovely lady in Texas had a specific vision in mind when we started working together. Through our creative and innovative collaboration, we managed to bring this vision to life with out ever meeting in person.
